Examples of previous service projects include preparing sack lunches for the homeless at the Salvation Army, making meals for families at Project Hope and delivering to the shelter, baking cookies for senior citizens in our community, making meals for students involved in service activities on campus, and coming up with recipes/treats to include in the Pirate Power Packs.

This involves planning events in the kitchen, recruiting volunteers from the school and community, coordinating with partner agencies, overseeing the implementation of each project, developing a volunteer recognition program, and promoting the work of the PSL Kitchen to the student body and Perry community. Volunteers will also be expected to secure donations, keep the cupboards stocked and organized, and maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen.
