K-12 Service Learning Projects
Ohio learning standards require teachers in grades K-12 to encourage civic participation and skills by engaging students in their community, state, or nation for the common good. The PSL Center for Civic Engagement provides an ideal environment to facilitate service learning projects that teach students not only to be personally responsible citizens, but also participatory citizens who transform their communities by working for solutions to address unmet human needs. Teachers interested in utilizing the center of collaborating with PSL students on a project should contact Mark Soeder or Allison Trentanelli.
