THE PHS GIVING GARDEN
The PHS Giving Garden is a joint effort between the Perry Service Learning program, Library Council, Perry College & Career Academy, Recycling Club, and the United Way Club that began in 2012 to provide fresh produce to our local foodbank.
The garden’s four vegetable beds total 225 sq. ft. and produced over 850 lbs. of produce during its inaugural year – all of which went directly to the Perry Center to feed local families in need. The Perry Center serves nearly 3,000 people annually, 40% of whom are children under the age of 17.
