Activity One: Dear Replacement
Read the “Dear Replacement” letters that are inside the folder Mr. Soeder and Mrs. Trentanelli share in class.

- What did you learn about past PSL students and their experiences based on their “Dear Replacement” letters? How will you apply that knowledge to your upcoming service experience? Be specific.
- What part of volunteering are you most excited about? What concerns or questions do you have?

Activity Three: Writing an Introductory Email
Today is your opportunity to make a positive and powerful first impression. To help initiate your volunteer experience, please send an introductory email to your assigned agency supervisor.
1. Compose a new email message using your perry-stu.com email account.
2. Copy and paste the introductory email template into the body of the message.
3. Edit the message to include your supervisor's name, your service agency name, etc.
4. Edit the text so that the entire message is the same font and same type size. Make sure nothing is noted in bold type or italics.
5. Copy both Mr. Soeder ([email protected]) and Mrs.Trentanelli ([email protected]) in the CC section of the email message. You should do this with ALL email communications you exchange with your service agency throughout the year.
