Who will you choose?For the 12th straight year, students in the Perry Service Learning (PSL) program partnered with Magnified Giving to nominate deserving non-profits in Northeast Ohio to receive $2,000 in grant money. This innovative program teaches students to become the philanthropists of tomorrow while meeting society's needs today. Students began by researching 87 non-profits. 3 were invited to complete grant applications. The finalists are profiled below. Today in class, students will:
At the conclusion of class, each student will cast a vote for the nonprofit that they believe will provide the best return on our investment. The organization with the most votes will receive the 1st place $1,000. We will also have a 2nd place ($600 grant) and 3rd place ($400 grant). Checks will be awarded at an Award Ceremony in April. All are welcome to attend. |

A delegation of PSL students conducted site visits at all three organizations. This video captures what they saw and what they learned about each organization. Review each organization's video and grant application. Then watch the PSL site visit video. After you have a good understanding of each organization, vote for the one that you think would give us the best return on our investment.
