Service requirement: 2 hours per week
Agency description: The Ecumenical Shelter Network of Lake County, Inc., dba Project Hope for the Homeless, has served the homeless in Northeast Ohio since 1993 with the mission of responding to the human hurts and hopes of persons in Lake County who are homeless by providing emergency shelter, care, and guidance in the name and for the sake of Jesus Christ.
Project Hope for the Homeless consists of four programs to carry out this mission:
Job description: Project Hope is looking for a student volunteer to work with the administrative staff as an assistant. Duties may include answering phones; organizing supplies in the shelter; assisting the Property Manager; along with working with the Executive Director, Development Director, and the Grant and PR Coordinator to help fulfill the agency mission. Opportunities may evolve to help with fundraising, promoting the agency, and accompanying staff to represent the agency at community events. Familiarity of Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel is a plus.

- Families Moving Forward: a daytime and evening shelter for families
- Hope House: a 24-hour senior transitional home for up to three people who are 65 and older
- Aftercare: a one-year support program for former guests at Project Hope
