Lesson 9: Evaluating Grant Applications
After students complete their site visits, each PSL class will be divided into 2 super committees that will be charged with the task of reviewing the completed grant applications. First, students will develop grant making criteria to help them evaluate the applications. Then students will rank the grant applications and discuss the merits of each organization. Next, students will share information from their site visits with the committee. Finally, the super committee will discuss which agencies are most deserving of the grant money. At the conclusion of this process, each student will cast one ballot and the agency with the most votes will move on to the next round.
