Activity One - Peer Evaluation
In addition to helping out another writer, engaging in peer revision activities help you become more aware of the writing process, which in turn can benefit your own writing, especially when it comes to editing and revising working drafts.
Directions
1. Exchange essays with a classmate (either hard copy or in print). Review the assessment checklist (rubric) and thoughtfully read your classmate's work.
2. Complete the Peer Review chart (passed out in class on Friday and attached below). Once complete, conference with your classmate and provide verbal feedback on his/her writing. Allow your classmate to do the same with your writing.
3. When finished, ensure you have the Peer Review chart which provides you with essay feedback in your possession.
