Service times: Tuesday and Thursdays. Times TBD. Service requirement: 3-3.5 hours per week depending on job site. School description: Riverside’s RAVE Programs offer a variety of vocational experiences for high school students. These vocational opportunities are designed to fit individual preferences, interests, needs, and strengths. Riverside is committed to providing age appropriate transition assessments (AATA), employability skills training, interview preparation and resume portfolios, as well as assistance with the transition to adult services. The RAVE Program is intended to serve those students who are enrolled and attend Riverside Local Schools and have an effective Individualized Education Program (IEP). Volunteer description: Volunteers would support job coaches and/or the intervention specialist, working with anywhere from 2-6 students at job sites that include The Lantern of Madison, St. Denis Golf Course, Lake Health Medical Center, and Layton Physical Therapy of Madison. Volunteers with RAVE they would assist the job coach/specialist by following their directive to assist the student learning, performing and perfecting the job tasks asked of them. They would be responsible for also learning the job and ensuring that the job is executed with competency by the students they’re working with. |
